St. Jude Medical Center

Case study

In participation with McCarthy, our redesign and refresh of St. Jude’s WiFi was performed in conjunction with a construction management team. The project encompassed the new four-floor wing of the hospital. For new construction projects, a predictive survey is required. This takes into consideration all building materials used that may impact the spectrum and design of the system.

A total of 48 APs were installed with enclosures from Oberon. At the project’s end, a validation survey demonstrated that our design was optimized for the required services and resulted in excellent coverage.

Challenge
The customer was interested in maximizing their WiFi coverage in a new construction space
Solution
Embee performed a predictive survey to identify potential problem areas and anticipate shifting patron populations throughout the day. We designed a futurized WiFi architecture that not only solved the problem areas but anticipated visitor increases over time.
